Bella Vita - 7 Bedroom Villa

My family and I had a lovely experience at Villa Bella Vita in St. Maarten. It was hard to find space for our party of 13 with three small children, but this place was fantastic. All staff were friendly and helpful, Giovanni, our concierge gave us great recommendations, and we even got a great babysitter, Kendra for the afternoons so the parents were able to enjoy the vacation. The villa itself was gorgeous, with all rooms showing an ocean/sunset view. Floating in the infinity pool looking out over the ocean while watching fireworks for the new year was an unbeatable experience. The foodies of the group treated us to delicious food made in the very well equipped kitchen. We were all delighted by the resident iguanas that sunned themselves in the trees off the balcony. We had fun watching movies together in the very comfy theater room. The house itself was probably too "smart" for it's own good and we had trouble with the gates and doors having a mind of their own, but Inna, the on site property manager was very responsive and helpful. Overall, an unforgettable trip.

This place is about as high-end as you are going to get. I'd find it suitable for dignitaries or anyone requiring a secure, luxury stay. The automatic gate opens to a large courtyard with ample parking. There is a small outpost at the gate that could be used for security (we did not need this, I just want to note it for those who might require something like that). We drove in and parked under the covered veranda and unloaded our luggage then pulled further into the small garage. Very pretty and well secured with high walls, all nicely landscaped and stylishly well lit. The front door was huge and heavy-looking, but so well balanced, you could open it up with a finger. I knew then I was in a place that had attention to the smallest details in design and comfort. The door opened up to the huge, open-concept living room that would be suitable for large gatherings. The decor was fresh and modern. The air conditioning was more than adequate. The lighting was fancy with a huge display along one wall that was backlit to give it all a comfortable, cool, ambiance. To the right, there was a media room with huge wrap-around couches and a screen that took up half a wall. I'd say it could seat 20 people comfortably. The door was heavy and likely designed to keep any noise confined to the room. Children could play with there electronics or watch movies in there whenever they wanted. Looking further in led to the most incredible view, and maybe the most incredible setting on the island. You will see it in the photos, with the infinity pool and the 180-degree view. You can catch the sunsets from this vantage point all the way to the horizon. Breathtaking and a real statement about how luxurious this place is. Connected to the big room, the main kitchen is a designer and chef's dream. Too many details to list here, but it is suitable and set's the stage for any dining experience one would want. We had a few chefs come in during our stay, I think the chefs were some of the most well-known on the island. At any rate, food and wine pairings were too many courses to count. I highly recommend you look into one of these chefs. I think I can say that ALL the rooms are spread out and very private (if you use the automatic curtains that close with a touch of a button)! I think they all have the views and most open up to the ocean breeze with fully opening wall of windows. Nobody will feel like they got the worst room. They are all outfitted with AC units and really big enough to stay in all day if you wanted. There was a sauna and exercise room. I believe they have their own water system and electrical system, allowing off-grid operation if needed. Staff were present, helpful and very much appreciated. Our stay was most important to them and we were made to feel like their guests. Very polite. Very helpful. They arranged so much for us we did not have to call anyone. In particular I would recommend you ask the house manager for massage or beauty services. She is one of the best you will find. (also fwiw she was able to take care of special needs that might be hard to find on the island, for example caviar service for 20 people and of course the Stolichnaya shots to warm every one up!). Short 10-15 min walk or 4 minute drive to the beach and casinos/restaurants.

Where to start? The luxurious Villa Bella Vita is in the best area of St. Maarten. It's perfectly situated on the hillside in Pelican Bay providing stunning views overlooking the sea and the island of Saba. Incredible sunsets every night! A short walk to the beautiful beaches, restaurants, shopping, and some happening nightlife. The villa itself is amazing! We had so much fun just hanging out in the crystal clear infinity pool sipping on a cool beverage.
