Complimentary Driver - As part of your minimum 5-night stay, we're pleased to offer complimentary transportation services facilitated by our trusted drivers, Goofy and Michael from Great River House. This includes airport transfers, transportation to The Tryall Club, excursions to both the west and east areas of Montego Bay (covering Tryall in the west and Rose Hall in the east), as well as one full-day excursion beyond these regions (excluding Kingston or Port Antonio).
Great River House is located in a private gated neighborhood of other upscale villas, the entire property is fenced and entered through wrought iron gates, ensuring complete privacy. Grounds include a spacious grassy lawn with badminton and croquet. Fruit trees enhance the manicured lawns. Royal Palms, citrus, and pimento trees are lit each evening.
Locally-crafted mahogany furniture reflects an old Jamaica ambiance, complemented by designer fabrics. Interiors are distinguished by artwork by famous illustrators Arthur Taylor, and George Rodrique, and original botanical and Jamaican watercolors and oils. The large serpentine pool features an infinity waterfall edge, fountain, expansive stone terrace, and divided shallow children's pool.
Candlelight dinners are served in an interior air-conditioned dining room where guests may enjoy a view over the pool and its infinity edge to the sea beyond. Meals may also be served al fresco on the 2,400-square-foot pool terrace. The chef treats guests to fresh fish and grilled lobster, and everyone's favorite, jerk pork and chicken prepared on our jerk drum. Also, farm-to-table fruit, herbs, and avocados are grown on the property.
Mandatory gratuity in Jamaica enhances the value of a fully serviced villa stay by ensuring exceptional, personalized service while simplifying the guest experience. Villa staff, including a trained chef, cater to your unique needs and preferences during your stay. Gratuity ranges from 10% of the nightly rate during the high season (December to April) to 15% during the low season, ensuring fair compensation for the highly skilled staff.
Unlike other destinations where staff services are arranged and charged separately, often at a high hourly rate excluding gratuity, Jamaica’s all-inclusive system streamlines the process allowing guests to enjoy top-quality service with ease.
