Fortlands Point on the Beach

The Fortlands Point on the Beach rests on the tip of a peninsula that juts out into the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. The three acres of land, once the site of a stone fort, is now home to an ocean-view villa with a panorama of Discovery Bay and the Caribbean skyline. To stay at this private Jamaican villa is to experience paradise. 

The 14,000-square-foot Fortlands Point on the Beach honors its history. As you wander the promontory, you will come across seven cannons from the days of the stone fort. Inside, you will find nine luxury bedrooms and so much more. 

Before exploring the dazzling interior, you'll want to head out back to the private pool and deck. The infinity pool seems to stretch out into the very horizon. The natural beauty of the pool is only heightened by the recirculating waterfall. The beachfront villa also access to three beaches. Sloping white sands gracefully meet the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Beyond the shore, guests can snorkel in protected reefs. The villa has all the equipment you need, as well as sea kayaks. 

After you've swum in the waters of the ocean and the pool, you can take advantage of the floating bar, hammocks, and barbecue grill. If you're looking for more activity, you can play on the private squash court, practice your short game on the synthetic putting green, or work out in the fitness room. Kids will love playing on the swing set, slide, and mini tree house. 

Inside, you can relax with the DSS TV system, sound system, and Wi-Fi, while enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. The entire interior of the Fortlands Point on the Beach is decorated with teak, cedar, Italian tile, and plush Persian rugs. 

The villa has an outdoor kitchen located right on the edge of the ocean. The staff prepares excellent meals, while guests can choose where to dine. Take your meal at the mahogany table in the formal dining room or eat right on the water's edge under the clear, blue skies. 

One bedroom, the Baron's Room, is on the lower level. The room has a mahogany, king-size bed, as well as a daybed. The en-suite bathroom has a bidet and combination bathtub and shower. Open the bedroom's French doors to step out onto the furnished terrace. 

The second level has three bedrooms – the East Ocean View Room, Queen Room, and Boy's Room – each with its own en-suite bathroom. One room has a king-size bed and access to furnished balcony. One has a queen-size bed, and the other has the option for a king-size bed or two twin-size beds. 

The fifth bedroom is on the third level. The Captain's Room has a four-poster, king-size bed. The en-suite bathroom has a luxurious walk-in shower with two showerheads and three water-jet massagers. 

The sixth and seventh bedrooms are on the villa's fourth level. The Attic Room has a view of the ocean. Relax in the king-size bed and enjoy the comforts of the en-suite bathroom. The Girls' Room has two twin-size beds with trundles and an en-suite bathroom. All bedrooms are cooled by remote-control air-conditioning. 

In addition to the floating bar, guests can enjoy the villa's wine cellar. Select a bottle or two from the list of whites and reds. 

Eight professional staff members attend to all of the guest's needs. The staff includes a chef, butlers, housekeepers, a laundress, and a gardener. Guests have access to a telephone system with intercoms that connect the bedrooms, kitchens, and staff quarters.
